OPUS Club Residence Recognised at the International Architecture Awards 2024

The OPUS club residence by developer PIONEER has been honoured at the International Architecture Awards 2024, which is celebrating its 19th edition and recognises outstanding achievements in architecture and urban planning across 26 categories.

The OPUS club residence, designed by “Tsimailo Lyashenko and Partners,” was recognised in the “Multifamily Housing” category, alongside other projects from Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, the Czech Republic, the United States, Mexico, China, and France.

The proximity to the Moskva River inspired the unique shape of OPUS, which draws on the element of water. The residence consists of 188 apartments, with stepped terraces cascading down towards the embankment, offering panoramic views of Krutitskoye Podvorye, Zamoskvorechye, and Derbenevskaya Embankment from nearly every apartment.

The inner courtyard is divided into a “quiet” area with private spaces and a children’s playground and another side facing the embankment for more active leisure.

The apartments, ranging from 56 to 385 square metres, offer multiple balconies and terraces facing different directions, with dedicated spaces for home offices and dressing rooms with private balconies, as well as bathrooms with panoramic windows. The layout concept is designed to ensure that nearly every apartment has a view of the river.

The unique penthouses, with the option to install a fireplace, are located on the top, tenth floor. Thanks to the thoughtful architectural design, the ceiling height in the penthouses reaches up to 7.4 metres. All apartments feature extensive glazing, while the projecting pylons preserve privacy and prevent direct window-to-window views.

The OPUS club residence is a deluxe project by the premium real estate developer PIONEER. The building, with its unique “wave” architecture designed by “Tsimailo Lyashenko and Partners,” is being constructed on Derbenevskaya Embankment in central Moscow. Most apartments offer views of the Moskva River, and there are units available with terraces, bathrooms, and dressing rooms with windows. The building will house 188 apartments and an A+ class business centre with the same name. Completion is scheduled for 2025.

The organisers of the International Architecture Awards are The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The jury evaluates hundreds of submissions from around the world; past winners have included renowned firms such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Foster + Partners, and many others. The projects that receive awards are distinguished not only by their aesthetics but also by their contribution to social and environmental aspects of architecture. The award ceremony will be held in Athens on 21 September 2024.
