PIONEER has won accolades in three prestigious categories at the URBAN 2024 industry awards. The ceremony took place in Moscow on November 21, with the company’s projects reaching the finals in all major premium segment nominations.
The SHIFT residential complex secured first place in the category of “Best Under-Construction Premium Residential Complex in Moscow.” The project, designed by the renowned architectural bureau “Tsimailo Lyashenko and Partners,” brings visual diversity to the Donskoy district. The five towers of the complex follow a modular architecture principle, combining identical elements into unique compositions. Thanks to the towers’ geometry, residents enjoy panoramic views of Neskuchny Garden, Gorky Park, Moscow City, and Moscow State University.
The OPUS club residence was awarded in the “Best Lobby” category. For the first time in Moscow, the interiors of a residential project’s public spaces are being crafted by Natalia Belonogova and her studio NB Studio, famed for designing the interiors of fine-dining restaurants like Gvidon, Maya, and Lacanda.
The entrance areas at OPUS will be true works of art, inspired by Paris’s L’Atelier Brancusi and the Museum of Africa and Oceania. The interiors will feature stylized African totems crafted from natural materials, hand-stitched leather cushions, and wooden benches by renowned designer Denis Milovanov.
The amenities exclusive to OPUS residents, spread over two floors, embrace the concept of the “Russian North.” This theme is brought to life through natural materials, handmade furniture, and artisanal decor. The amenities include a lounge area and a lobby with a fireplace, fitness spaces, a martial arts and boxing hall, a sauna with recliners overlooking the courtyard, a massage room, and private meeting rooms. The OPUS lobby design is a major attraction for residents and has already garnered recognition from Russian and international awards.
The LIFE Varshavskaya residential quarter’s school for 900 students emerged as the winner in the “Best Educational Space” category. Integrated into GBOU No. 1579 in 2023, the school was inaugurated on September 1, 2023, with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin in attendance.
The four-story school building features blocks for primary, middle, and senior students, two sports halls, a choreography studio, a library with a soft seating area, a transformer auditorium, research labs, an IT lab, and a robotics classroom. Its grounds include a stadium equipped with football, basketball, and volleyball courts, running tracks, playgrounds, and spectator stands.
The URBAN Awards, held annually, recognize the best urban development projects in the Moscow region. This year marked the 16th edition of the awards, with 125 contenders evaluated by the jury.
